Benefits of Apprenticeship
As An Apprentice You...
Earn while you learn
One of the best things about being in an apprenticeship
program is the ability to earn while you learn. While you learn
a trade, you’ll receive an industry-appropriate wage. And your
earnings will increase with each year of the apprenticeship
program you successfully complete.
As An Apprentice
You...
Improve your job prospects
When you successfully complete an apprenticeship program,
you become a certified journeyman in your trade. Journeymen are
always in demand, so watch your job prospects start moving!
As An Apprentice You...
Can transform yourself
An apprentice becomes a certified journeyman after
-
completing all on-the-job-training
requirements, and
-
receiving a satisfactory report from the
supervisor
-
successfully completing all levels of
technical training for their particular trade, and
-
passing all exams, and
-
providing the completed record book to the
Apprenticeship and Industry Training office.
