AFC&TC also
provides Resume Writing and Career Planning workshops. The resume
writing workshop includes job search techniques and interview
tips. The career planning workshop helps you to discover the
careers that best suit your needs and wants.
AFC&TC has also partnered with other organizations and
industries to provide specialized training on an as need basis.

& Cover Letters
Aboriginal Futures Career & Training Centre (AFC&TC) has a wide
variety of resources available for clients to use. We have a
great selection of books to use for reference. Books are
available at the front desk and include such titles as;
1) "Cover Letters That Knock 'em Dead" by Martin Yate
2) "Best Resumes for $100,000 + Jobs by Wendy S. Enelow
3) "The Damn Good Resume Guide" by Yana Parker
4) "The Resume Catalog: 200 Damn Good Examples" by Yana Parker
5) "What Color is Your Parachute?" by Richard Nelson

Our staff at AFC&TC would be happy to provide direction and
feedback regarding your resume and cover letter. If you would
like to attend a resume writing workshop call our office at
253-5311 to find out when the next workshop will be held.
If you would prefer to work on your own resume we have a
Community Access Program at our office which includes 3
computers with internet access, printer and photocopier. These
computers can also be used for writing your resume and cover
letters. If you need to fax a resume to an employer please ask
the receptionist and she will do that for you. You can also
spend some time searching for a job on the various job sites on
the Internet.
